Ep #177:Do you need new graphics for each episode?
In this, I address a common question from my recent Facebook group challenge-turned-bootcamp: 'Do you need new graphics for each episode?'
I advise using a set template and only changing essential details like the episode title and number.
It's essential to keep a streamlined process, especially when you're managing graphic creation alone. I also share tips on using Canva for creating templates and emphasize the importance of promoting guest episodes to help them and your podcast grow.

Well, welcome back to another episode of the healthy is Dorsey podcast. So today I'm going to continue on with the theme. Um, these are questions that I get asked during my five day challenge, which is now going to be a bootcamp. So these are questions that I'm pulling from the chat. Uh, of the Facebook group, people were asking during the challenge and I'm actually answering those questions on my podcast for you guys. So. This episode. Question is, do you need new graphics for each episode? And the clear answer is no, you do not need. Uh, new graphics for each episode. And I don't know, like really reinventing the wheel. I like to have a set template and that's it. Now here's the thing. If you're doing solo episodes and you want to, um, you want to showcase it on. Social media. Then just do your regular, uh, you could use your regular. Cover art. And then just name it episode. So take the name of your cover art, like the title, and then just say episode. Number the title and you kind of like use that. So you can actually use that to read. Uh, repurpose. For your social media posts, you could do it that way. Or if you're like Candice, I just want a completely different graphic for wine. Do my soul episodes you can do at. Um, I will say just how one template and then of course have your face, make sure the colors and everything is related to your podcast brand. And then, um, what you do is. At the title episode, and then you add the URL on the graphic. Okay. And just keep that and all you have to do. There's a switch out the title and episode number, and then that's it. Now four guests, I generally have like one graphic. Actually I have to, sorry. I have to, because. I don't want to put a guy. This is just me. I don't want to have my mail episodes. Um, my male guests. A B in pink background. I just, I just don't. I like to have it a little bit more, a little bit more subtle, a little bit more. Um, I would say max masculine there's really like no masculine colors, but I will say I like to have it to be a little bit more neutral. When I have my guy guests on, and then when I have my grill guests on my women guest, then I'll have like, you know, the, the purple background, different things like that. So, I have a background for, um, for my mail. Uh, my male gas I come on. So it's more like a gray. But it stays within my Brandon theme. So I switched it up for them, then that way they can post it in everything on their end. And then I have my purple kind of like brand new theme for my women guests. So I have two, um, but I keep the, uh, I keep the template as is, and then I just switch out the picture, I switch out the name and then I switch out the title and the episode. So, um, I do that and I just keep it that way. Now for my solo episodes, I really don't post on social media as much. I should. Um, but I'll email to my email list or I'll just do an episode. Um, but when I do have guests, I definitely make sure I have a graphic because I want to send it over to them so that they can promote it so they can put it on their website. So a lot of. A lot of extra things that I do. I do a, for my guests. So that they can have something to promote so that I can also promote them as well. But what I have solo episodes, I really don't promote it. I'll just go ahead. Like I'm doing here, I'll record it. And then I'll go ahead and, um, posted on bus routes and that's it. And I'll be real like Kennis. Well, why don't you promote your, your solo episodes? You know, you should definitely, you know, promote that. My thing is this. My soul episodes is generally for like it's for everybody. Yeah. And I would like everybody to listen. But I feel like my soul episodes is more of a teaching. Teaching style. I do it myself. I want to do it by myself, and then I could send it over to my email list and have them listen, because my email is, is actually solely focused on podcasts and launching a podcast. So I like to send it over to them. So that they can get tidbits so they can learn so they can get what they need to do so that they can go ahead and apply. To their podcast. Um, that's just how I do it. And it's simply because. I need to hire a VA. But now right now, Because of budgeting. But, um, I definitely want to have a VA to actually do some of the leg work for me. I had a few back in the day, but it was just too expensive. So now it's just me, but I want to make sure that. I'm serving my email list so that I can get so they can get what they need and then, um, they can apply it. So when he get ready to launch their podcast, So, yeah, that was the long. Answer of it, but that's. We started talking about marketing, but that's generally what I do. And, um, also batch them. So when you have guest. And you have a lot of guests, which I used to do. I used to have like guests almost every week. I would batch my graphics, bashed him all up at one time and then that way it's scheduling them out as well. Then that way I have the graphics for them are ready now. If you have a template, especially when you go into Campbell, you can go on canvas free account. And then you can search a podcast, episode templates. You can search that and then just recreate the template, do it however you want to do it. And then just use that solely that they now wait, the only thing you're changing now, it's just the name. The image, if you want to show the image of your guests, which I highly recommend. Um, and then you will keep your picture if you have your picture on there as well. I don't have my picture on the graphic at all. Um, I just want to highlight my guests if you want to put your picture on there. And I tell this all the time, especially in my challenges and my boot camps until my students that. Um, I've seen where. There is. A big image. Of the podcast host, and then there's this like this blue. EDPD baby image of the guest. You want to highlight your guests and not you. If that makes sense. I could be wrong. I probably get some backlash for this. I really don't care, but your guests is the spotlight. So what you want to do is you want to highlight your guests. And if you want to have a little image of yourself as the whole, she can't, or. Just not put yourself on your eye at all. Okay. Um, but I've seen too many times where there's a really big, huge picture of. The host in his little EDBD. Picture of the guests and I'm like, so. Is it all about the host? Like is the host talking like, and I didn't know. I'm like, oh, the host is the guests. And then. The guest is the host. So I got really confused, but, um, you just put your guests, highlight your guests, and if you wanna put your, a picture of yourself, Just make it a small picture. Okay. Um, so I hope this was helpful. Uh, I, I really love talking about this and, um, no, you don't need a new graphic for each episode, especially if you're doing a solo episode, just keep the same way. Keep with the theme in same way with the guests episode. You just switch out the picture, switch out the name. Switch out the, uh, the title, the episode. And there you go. Okay. I'm all about not reinventing the wheel. And I like to keep things streamlined and safe time. Okay. All right. So if you are a coach coasts, Uh, if you are a coach consulting, co.
