Ep #151: Why it's so important to do YOU

In this episode, I'm going to talk about something super important: do YOU, and listening to no one else. 

Follow  God's guidance and don't let anyone else's doubts get in the way of your dreams and goals. 

 So, here's the deal: keep your dreams and goals to yourself, surround yourself with people who believe in you, and distance yourself from any negativity. 

This episode is all about tuning in to that inner voice, which we believe is God's guidance, and ignoring the fears and insecurities of others.

Welcome back to another episode of the Helicea. Dorsey podcast. And this episode we're going to talk about why it's so important to do you in dallas to anyone but god and i'm a believer i'm pretty sure you know that by listening to my podcast Because here's the thing. It is so important that you listen to the Lord. And the reason why I say that is because. You know, he knows what's best for you. We don't even know what's best for our own self. That's the funny thing about it, because oftentimes we think. You know, certain things are best for us. When oftentimes it's no good for us, so we don't even know how to make. Great decisions for ourselves. If you listened to that inner voice, deep deepest site, your soul, you, you can hear it. You'll know it's there. You know, if you listen to that, then it would guide you in the direction that you need to go. But the problem is all the times I've voiced deep inside of you. Sometimes it doesn't basically say the things that we wanted to say. Lesbian, honest, lesbian, real. Okay. 100% of the time. That, that voice is guiding you, that I believe that's the Lord guiding you and talking to you within. So. Here's the deal. When you focus on what the Lord has in store for you. Everything and everyone else opinion is ill relevant. Okay. You have to whole name, you have to focus on what he have you to do now. Will you have yourself to do, but what he have you to do? Let go, let him guide your path. Let him be the guide in your life. The problem is, I know you want to drive. I know you want to steer and to this direction, that direction, but let him guide you. Just go with the flow. Okay. People will impress their fears and doubts on you. Don't let them. Okay, do not let them impress their fears and their doubts on you because the thing of it is. They're not doing it. They want to do it. They have for themselves, they see you doing this. So they impress those fears and those doubts on you do not let them which is why it's very important. And I said this, I do believe two or three episodes ago. That you keep your conversations, to yourself. Which comes to my third one, sorry. I'm not counting these off, but I'm just, you know, Just going along. So a number three. So the first one was when you focus on what the Lord has in store for you, everything else in everyone else's opinion is irrelevant. Number two people will impress their fears and doubts on you. Don't let them number three, keep your dreams and your goals to yourself. Okay. The devil is always listening. I hear that all the time. It is so true. Keep your dreams and your goals to yourself. Do not tell anyone do not post on the internet. Do not have a conversation and say, Hey, my dreams is to be a millionaire. You know, people are going to be like, oh, okay. Because they have that doubt and their fear. Was it. Gives perfect example, a little small same way. So before I left my my nine to five. I had that support so much for left, but it was so funny because I was in a meeting and I told all my, my peers, my supervisor. The supervisors. Cause I was supervisor as well and I told them, I said I'm, you know, it's Friday or whatever it is going to be. My last day I gave my notice and everybody was so shocked about that. But we got to talking and everything and I say, yeah, you know, one day you guys going to see me in Forbes magazine, And everybody's just laughed. They laughed. I was like, Oh, ha. Because that thought. Of me being a force magazine that thought. Of being in any type of that magazine or being like a millionaire or whatever that thought is just like, it's a joke. To everyone. It's not a joke to me. To be honest with you. And one day I do believe I am going to be enforced magazine. I might be 50. It might be 60. I might be 71 that happens. But that is my goal. Okay. So going back to keep your dreams and your goals to yourself, I'm telling you guys, because I know you got you all are like-minded people. As well. But is, is very important to keep that to yourself. Okay. Head down. Take action. And keep them goals and them dream. See yourself. Okay. Surround yourself with like-minded people. People who are doing the same thing you're doing to gain encouragement and like a mastermind. Want to surround yourself with the same people that is doing the same thing you're doing. And that is very, very important. Then that way you can get that uplift, you can get that that push that you need. It's almost like it's kind of like being in a church setting, like. If we go to church to praise, to worship the Lord, but we also go as for sort of a rest at the end of the week to encourage each other to worship together, to. A lift each other church is for healing. To be around each other because you need that. You need that support. I mean, people go to church for all the wrong reasons. And that is now what is may four. That is not what it's for at all. Okay. I'm going to get off that soap box because I can definitely segue and do a whole nother episode, but I won't do it this time. So surround yourself with like minded people, people who are doing the same thing you're doing to get encouragement like a mastermind. Okay. And number five, that was number four. Number five led Debbie downer gone by her business. We all have that friend. We all have that family member that is a Debbie downer, everything that you say they'll come back and they'll say something negative to what you say. Let her go on about her business. Don't tell her anything. Let her stay in her lane. See how she don't say hi, how you doing? But be aware of your conversation. Debbie downers, those type of people. They're always going to be downers. They're going to be downers. They're going to be doubters. you let them go on about their business. Okay. I'm not saying, you know, cut them off completely. Although some people do need to be cut off, but. Let them go about their business. And just checking with them. Hi, how are you doing? Oh, you're doing great. Okay. Bye. And then. Let there be that. Okay. So to recap Number one, when you focus on what the Lord has a store for you, everything and everyone. Else's opinion is irrelevant. Number two, people will impress their fears and doubts on you. Don't let them number three, keep your dreams and your goals to yourself. Number four, surround yourself with like-minded people, people who are doing the same thing here. Doing. To get encouragement like a mastermind or some sort of group.
